April Flynn has been with the Pitt English department since 2011, teaching courses in academic, creative, professional, scientific, and medical writing. Teaching interests include digital media composition and guiding students to investigate semantics and affect through narrative in medical contexts. In addition to teaching undergraduate courses in health science writing and digital media, Professor Flynn co-facilitates the Writers’ Café and leads a course on medical advocacy writing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School.
