Amy Flick is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Composition Program. She completed her doctoral work at Kent State University in Literacy, Rhetoric, and Social Practice. Her research and teaching centers on the rhetorical practices employed in the communication of medical and scientific information. Her current work analyzes harm reduction advocacy and the material-discursive conditions shaping implementation of harm reduction strategies. Amy is also an academic advisor for the English Department and directs the Public Communication of Science and Technology Certificate program.
