Congratulations 2021 Graduates!

Congratulations Literature Majors

Dear Graduating Literature Majors,

Congratulations! It is so wonderful that you have finished your undergraduate careers. But it is also so sad they you, your families, your friends, and your professors can't celebrate together in the usual way.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being Literature students and sharing your minds and hearts with us, the faculty in the Literature program and the English department. On behalf of the program, I wish you well and encourage you to keep in touch.

The program and Kathryn Waring put together a little video for you as a small effort to celebrate you and share our thoughts with you. You are welcome to share the link with friends and loved ones.

Wishing you all the very best,
Amy Murray Twyning
Director of Undergraduate Studies, Literatur

Congratulations PPW Majors

Hello, PPW Students and Class of 2020: You have made it to the end of the spring term...which, this year, is easier said than done! I cannot express how proud the Public and Professional Writing faculty is of all of you for your perseverance and patience through this unprecedented semester. As soon as you get a chance, rest and relax. You've earned it.

To celebrate your hard work and to honor the graduating Class of 2020, the PPW Program has prepared a short commemorative video of your favorite memories and experiences during your time at Pitt which you can view here. Enjoy!

Congratulations Writing Majors

Because we are essentially a fine arts program, Writing asked some of its graduating students to record selections from their art, the poems, essays, and short fiction presented here, with a little animation as well. In addition, we’ve included remarks by one of our graduating students, Leylâ Colpan, and Director of Undergraduate Studies Jeff Oaks.
