Doug Currier (MFA/Poetry, 1984), the first-ever moderator of the once-Gustine's-and-more-recently-Hemingway's Summer Poetry Series, has published a full-length collection of poems in Spanish, Vida prestada: Poemas con sabir a Tango (Editoral Milena Caserola; 2021). His chapbook Señorita Death, was published this past July by Main Street Rag; it's his first published collection in English.
Pocket Universe, published by LSU Press this past spring, is a collection of poems with startling views on motherhood by Nancy Reddy (BA, Writing, 2004). This past spring also saw the publication of an anthology Reddy coedited with Emily Pérez, The Long Devotion: Poets Writing Motherhood (University of Georgia Press). Reddy is an associate professor of writing and first-year studies at Stockton University; she lives in Collingswood, N.J.
Julie Albright (MFA 96) was recently named a runner-up for the Teachers & Writers Magazine Bechtel Prize; her essay "Some Victorious Answer to Everything" was published by the magazine this past summer.
2022 saw the release of two books by Robert T. Tally, Jr.: For a Ruthless Critique of All that Exists: Literature in an Age of Capitalist Realism (Zer0 Books) and J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit: Realizing History Through Fantasy: A Critical Companion (Palgrave Macmillan). Tally (MA, Literature, 93; PhD Cultural and Critical Studies, 99) is a professor Texas State University; in 2020, he contributed a tribute to Professor Emeritus Jonathan Arac upon Arac's retirement.
Bean Spiller, a chapbook of essays on the journey of mental illness by Carroll Ann Susco (MFA/Fiction,1996), was published by Variant Literature this past summer.
