Stacey Waite

Assistant Professor of English, University of Nebraska Lincoln

Pittsburgh is a vibrant writing city. Almost any night of the week I was out at poetry reading and literary events. That liveliness is because of the city's artistic spirit and political promise, yes, but it is also because of the MFA program at Pitt, which is at the center of the city's celebration of writing.
