Stacey Waite

Assistant Professor, Department of English, University of Nebraska

In Pitt's PhD program, I learned probably the three most important things I'll need to know to write and teach in the university: 1) I and my students are always capable of far more than I can imagine; 2) The connections between reading and writing are far richer and more complex than we can usually articulate; 3) There is absolutely nothing more motivating for writers than feeling part of a unique and compelling shared vision.

PhD Year: 2011
